Job Description

Bass Computers, Inc. is a large computer and security distributor based in Houston, TX.  Started in 1991, Bass Computers offers a wide variety of computers, networking solutions, components, laptops, servers, CCTV products, and much more.  We work with a large number of integrators in the southwest to provide quality service and solutions.  Bass has a 56,000 square foot warehouse stocked with thousands of items from various manufacturers.  We are license by the state of Texas for security and for security continuing education.

 

At Bass, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the quality of our service.  Our motto is that we are “hooked on customer satisfaction,” and we strive to find the best solution for all of our customers.  We have strong relationships with many major manufacturers including Lenovo, Microsoft, Intel, WD and many more.  Our vendors visit the office frequently to provide training on new and exciting products to ensure we are always offering the optimum solution.  Bass offers products from multiple markets, including security, technology, access control, and reconditioned items.  This enables our sales representatives to pursue a wide variety of clients.  Bass has a contract with the Department of Information Resources, which is a big advantage in education. 

 

As an inside sales representative at Bass, you would have the opportunity to engage with both ownership and the multiple talented sales representatives on the floor.  Our goal is to create a culture where we offer opportunities for our reps to maximize their income, engage in sales competitions, in addition to helping each other grow.  Both our owners and our manufacturers provide numerous ways to make money, including spiffs, sales promotions, commissions, and more.  Our sales reps receive a set of leads upon starting, but they are also expected to grow their own client base.  We also receive leads from our manufacturers, trade shows, company events, and marketing campaigns.  

 

We are looking for sales representatives that have a passion for selling, are customer service oriented, and have an eagerness to learn new products.  Sales experience, especially in the security or technology industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates.

Skills / Requirements

Skills Required:
* At least 2 years inside sales or retail sales experience
* An ability to cold call new customers
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A self-motivated, driven, highly energetic attitude
* Effective at multi-tasking in a quick-paced environment
* Strong computer skills
* A desire to learn new products
* A team player
* High integrity
